L-Enemed Twettaq Eżerċizzji ta’ Emerġenza
L-Enemed, id-distributur nazzjonali tal-prodotti tal-pitrolju f’Malta, ser twettaq eżerċizzju ta’ emerġenza nhar il-Ħamis 3 ta’ Frar 2022 li jibda fid-09:00 fl-installazzjoni Bulk 1 ġewwa Ħal Luqa. Din l-installazzjoni tal-fjuwil tinsab fil-grawnds tal-Ajruport Internazzjonali ta’ Malta. L-eżerċizzju jifforma parti mir-rekwiżit legali tar-Regolamenti dwar il-Kontroll ta’ Perikli ta’ Aċċidenti Maġġuri (COMAH), LN 179/2015 li jittrasponi d-Direttiva Seveso III. Dawn ir-regolamenti jittrattaw inċidenti fuq skala kbira li jinvolvu sustanzi perikolużi li għandhom il-potenzjal li jikkawżaw diżgrazzji, tfixkil fis-servizzi essenzjali u ħsara lill-ambjent, fost oħrajn. L-eżerċizzju se jinvolvi lis-servizzi tal-emerġenza, inkluż id-Dipartiment tal-Protezzjoni Ċivili, paramediċi u entitajiet oħra li jistgħu jkunu involuti f’inċidenti bħal dawn.
Enemed to Conduct Emergency Exercises
Enemed, the national distributor of petroleum products in Malta, will conduct a full-scale exercise on Thursday 3rd February 2022 starting at 09:00h at Luqa Bulk 1 installation. This fuel installation is located within the Malta International Airport grounds. The exercise forms part of the legal requirement of the Control of Major Accident Hazards Regulations (COMAH), LN 179/2015 which transposes the Seveso III Directive. These regulations deal with large scale major accidents involving dangerous substances which have the potential to cause multiple casualties, disruption in essential services and damage to the environment, amongst others. The exercise will involve the emergency services, including the Civil Protection department, paramedics and other entities which would be involved in such accidents.
